Maurice Cooper OAM is a long-term resident of the Blue Mountains. He is the owner and proprietor of Bygone Beautys and Bygone Beautys cottages, located in Leura. Maurice was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community of the Blue Mountains, and as a fundraiser for a range of charitable organisations. Of the vast range of charitable events, Maurice’s latest is the Red Balloon Season to raise funds for the Rural Fire Service, an organisation of brave people who protect rural Australia, including the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

Maurice Cooper is a unique character of the Blue Mountains, who many residents either know of or are in regular contact with. Behind his exuberant exterior is a man with a compassionate nature who has greatly enriched his environment. WorldHeritageArt.com is fortunate to have such a man providing his support.

WordHeritageArt.com believes that through their work, artists offer an inspirational connection with the unique landscapes, fauna and flora, and human culture of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This attitude extends towards all UNESCO World Heritage areas.
We believe that art can interpret the essence of a place in striking and imaginative ways, communicating the passion and love an artist has for where they live and visit, often the source of their artistic inspiration.
We also believe that these artworks provide a valuable and lasting memento of visitors’ first-hand experience of these spectacular places. Through a work of art, a visitor can take away a truly local and meaningful souvenir of a place.
We are also proud to be supporters of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute, an independent, not-for-profit organisation with a mission to broker and facilitate research and community engagement that supports conservation and management of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
We sincerely hope that this introduction gives you a good idea of what WorldHeritageArt.com aims to achieve. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
